ARTIST STATEMENT
Terry has an extensive background in costume design working in film, television and theatre for many years with such major Australian and international companies such as Universal Pictures, Pariah Films, Village Roadshow Productions, Nine Films & Television, Crawford Productions, Sydney Theatre Company and the Victorian State Opera. Terry has worked with renowned producers and directors such as Harry M. Miller, Phillip Noyce and Peter Jackson on major hits such as Jesus Christ Superstar, Gallipoli, Muriel’s Wedding and King Kong and acclaimed series Homicide winning many awards along the way.

Coming from a background of costume design, Terry produces beautiful concise paintings with gold metal delineated with intricate black and chocolate tones. Byzantine, Celtic and Indonesian stylistic influences play back and forth between non-representational and figurative depictions. In different lights the gold metal has lovely effects and looks quite stunning with contemporary décor. The works are great mixers with other styles and in Terry’s first exhibition represents an increasing focus of the gallery with abstract artists.
