Stefan Twaine-Wood

Born in Bendigo, Victoria, Stefan Twaine-Wood developed an early interest in drawing and painting, inspired by regular childhood visits to Bendigo Art Gallery.

He studied Fine Arts at the South Australian School of Art from 1975–1978 and became actively involved in Adelaide’s artist-run art community, exhibiting regularly in painting and pastel.

His career includes several significant public mural projects, including the Jubilee Year Mural in Tea Tree Gully and a mural of the Smith Brothers’ Vickers-Vim at Adelaide Airport.

Stefan moved to Melbourne in 2002 and continues to paint from his home studio, maintaining a lifelong commitment to artistic expression and the exploration of place.
